  1. Hi Jim,
I have no idea if this blog is still active. Thought I'd take a chance. I am writing on behalf of my father, John Conboy. He was a half-track driver in the 474th. He was with his outfit from the beginning - at Camp Edwards, then in Kentucky, landing in Scotland, then in the 1st wave at Normandy.
He was also one of the soldiers who liberated Nordhausen.
He is 96 now and in failing health. He is hoping to reconnect with anyone from his outfit that is still in the areas (Philadelphia).
    Please contact me at: edd.conboy(at)gmail.com
    Thanks so much.
    Edd Conboy

  2. My father also was in the 474th--a gunner in A Battery, 2nd platoon. I am trying to locate the diary of Dr. Louis Small. The link you have on your blog is infected with malware and no long owned by Dr. Small's son Steven. If you have a copy of the diary you could email/mail me, or another email at which to reach the Small family, please share with me at readcrumbs@gmail.com. My dad had several encounters with the doctor, and I would like to see what's recorded there. Thank you.
